Omoleye Tasks Local Government Chairmen on Delivery of Dividends of Democracy
The Chief of Staff to Ekiti State Governor, Hon. Biodun Omoleye has reiterated the commitment of the present administration to executing projects that would make life worthwhile for the people, particularly
those at the grassroots.
The Chief of Staff emphasized this in Ikole Ekiti at the commissioning
of the lock-up shops in Eleyowo Central Market on Thursday.
Hon. Omoleye commended the Chairman for putting up a befitting lock up
shops for the use of market women in Ikole Ekiti despite the paucity
Omoleye who observed that the environment of the market was horrible
some months back, applauded the Chairman for putting up a structure
that makes the place now neat, habitable and safe for the market women
in Ikole local government.
“We commend this giant stride; I want to say that in view of his
capacity to meet the needs of his people, I commend this effort and of
course by responding to the needs of this people. This is an example
of a good leadership”. He stated
Omoleye urged other local government chairmen to emulate the exemplary
leadership style of Hon. Sola Olabiwonu who despite all odds put up
structures and implement programmes that would boost the
socio-economic activities of communities in Ikole Local Government
Earlier, the Chairman of Ikole Local Government, Hon. Sola Olabiwonu
explained that the event marks another turning point in the
social-economic development of Ikole Local Government Area.
He added that the lock up shops being commissioned have showcased the
practical dividends of democracy which his administration had been
able to bring about within the short period he assumed office.
He assured his people that developmental projects would be evenly
distributed among all communities in the local government area.
