Ekiti @25: Ekiti people must remain united to achieve greatness, says Oba Adejuwon
The Onisan of Isan Ekiti and Chairman, Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon,
has congratulated the people of Ekiti State on the 25th anniversary of the creation of the State, with a call to all and sundry to continue to make the necessary sacrifice that would ensure the state attains the level of greatness envisaged by her founding fathers.
Oba Adejuwon in a goodwill message personally signed by him also congratulated Nigerians on the 61st anniversary of the country preaching that only a peaceful co-existent can bring back the lost glory of the country. The Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers said though the country has remained one indivisible political entity despite the political and ethnic forces pulling her glory down, Nigerians must continue to make concerted efforts to see the Nigeria of our dream come to full manifestation.
While congratulating Ekiti people on the 25th anniversary of the creation of the State, Oba Adejuwon commended the roles of traditional rulers, eminent sons and daughters of the State who fought for the creation of the State in 1996, saying that the vision of a better and well-developed Ekiti State should remain paramount in the hearts of her citizens.
He, therefore renewed his call to traditional rulers and other sons and daughters of Ekiti State, both home and abroad, to support the government of Dr. Kayode Fayemi in his selfless efforts at repositioning the state as a destination of peace and investment opportunities so as to make the state a business-friendly one.
